About the Role

Every hotel Valor Hospitality acquires, develops or takes on rests on a view of what that property can realistically earn — and how confident we are in that view. This is the role that builds it.

The job. Working closely with our Chief Strategic Growth Officer, you'll produce the market analysis and commercial assumptions behind prospective hotel deals across the UK and Europe — acquisitions, management agreements, conversions and new-build development. You'll build the demand picture, define the competitive set, forecast performance, and develop the evidence as each opportunity moves towards presentation to owners.

You'll own the information itself, too: defining what's needed for each deal, reviewing what comes back through data rooms, sellers and advisers, and judging whether it's reliable enough to build a case on. Finance owns the project models. You own the assumptions and the evidence behind them.

You'll also inherit something we think is underused — Valor's back catalogue of previous deals, the original underwriting and what actually happened next. Turning that into something that sharpens the next forecast is part of the job.

Where it sits. Reporting to the Revenue & Analytics Director, with close working exposure to the Chief Strategic Growth Officer. Valor Hospitality underwrites, acquires, develops, manages and asset-manages hotels for and on behalf of our capital partners — so your analysis goes in front of the people whose money is at stake.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

How You Work

We're hiring for disposition as much as experience.

  • Curious by default. You want to know why a market behaves the way it does, not just what the index says. You notice the thing that doesn't fit and go and find out why.
  • Proactive. You identify what needs doing and get on with it rather than waiting to be tasked.
  • Sceptical in a useful way. You pressure-test your own numbers before anyone else has to.
  • Straightforward. You can tell a senior stakeholder that an opportunity doesn't stack up, and explain why in terms they can act on.
  • Self-directed. This role can be worked remotely or on a hybrid basis, which needs someone who manages their own priorities and communicates without being chased.

What You'll Bring

A background in hotel feasibility, development, valuation, revenue analytics, investment or asset management - from an operator, owner, investor or advisory practice. Strong Excel skills and real fluency with hotel financial models: you won't be building them here, but you need to read one and defend every assumption flowing through it. Command of benchmarking data — CoStar (STR), HotStats or equivalent - and USALI P&Ls. And the ability to turn complex analysis into a recommendation someone can act on in a page.

What Success Looks Like

  • By three months, you understand our portfolio, pipeline and operating model, you know what state the existing market data and assumption sets are in, and you've delivered your first live feasibility analysis.
  • By six months, you're the reference point for feasibility analysis across the region, working to a consistent standard and turnaround, with Valor's historical deal data structured and in use.
  • By twelve months, your analysis has shaped decisions across multiple deal types, and there's a feedback loop comparing live performance against original underwriting that has already changed how we forecast.

What We Offer

  • A newly created role with real scope to define how feasibility and market analytics are done across the region.
  • Genuine flexibility on location and working pattern for the right person.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership, hotel owners and investors.
  • An active and varied pipeline across acquisitions, conversions, management agreements and development.
  • Competitive base salary, performance bonus, pension, private healthcare, hotel discounts across the Valor portfolio, and support for professional qualifications.
