Job Opportunity: Freelance Content & Social Media Assistant
I’m looking for a freelance Content & Social Media Assistant to help me grow the reach, engagement, and consistency of my career coaching business.
I’m a Career Coach specialising in marketing professionals, following a 20+ year career working across FMCG brands and businesses including Unilever, Mars, Mondelez, Kellogg’s, and General Mills.
I create the ideas, stories, and point of view behind my content. I’m not looking for someone to replace my voice.
I’m looking for someone who can help me turn those ideas into consistent, well-executed content — take much of the day-to-day social media work off my plate — and help me understand what’s working so we can continuously improve.
What you’ll help me with:
- Managing and maintaining my content calendar
- Preparing, formatting, and scheduling LinkedIn posts
- Creating simple, high-quality supporting visuals in Canva
- Repurposing existing content into different formats
- Supporting the production and distribution of my newsletter
- Helping manage comments and social media admin
- Keeping content and assets organized
- Identifying opportunities to get more value from content I’ve already created
- Tracking performance and turning the numbers into recommendations for what we should do more, less, or differently
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Performance & KPIs
This isn’t just an execution role. I want someone who is curious about what is working, what isn’t, and how we can improve.
You’ll help track and report on:
- Follower growth and audience quality
- Impressions and reach
- Engagement and engagement rate
- Profile views and content-driven activity
- Newsletter subscriber growth and engagement
- Leads and enquiries generated through content
I’m less interested in chasing vanity metrics than understanding which content is helping us reach, engage, and ultimately convert the right audience.
What I’m looking for:
- You’re organised, proactive, and reliable, with a good eye for content.
- You understand LinkedIn and personal-brand content and can recognize the difference between something that feels genuinely human and something that feels generic or AI-generated.
- You’re also comfortable looking at performance data and using it to make practical recommendations — not just reporting numbers back to me.
- You should be comfortable working independently once we’ve agreed on the direction, rather than needing detailed instructions for every task.

Experience working with coaches, consultants, founders, or other personal brands would be useful, but isn’t essential.
Importantly: this isn’t a role where I hand over my LinkedIn account and ask you to “create a personal brand” for me.
The thinking, experiences, and opinions will come from me. Your job is to help me execute them better, more consistently, and at greater scale, and help us learn what resonates along the way.
The practicalities:
- Freelance / remote
- Approximately 5–8 hours per week to begin with
- £20–£25 per hour, depending on experience
- Potential to increase the scope and hours as we learn what works
If this sounds like you, send me a short introduction, examples of accounts/content you’ve worked on, your hourly rate, and tell me what you think you could take off my plate.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
