Job Description
The Role
We’re seeking energetic and enthusiastic Cleaners to join the Equinox team. This is an impactful position ideal for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing organisation within a luxury, state-of-the-art facility in Bishopsgate, London.
Responsibilities
Success in this role requires meticulous attention to cleaner’s standards and first-class service delivery. Core duties include:

Ensuring club and equipment upkeep
- Clean exercise equipment thoroughly and maintain optimal function and presentation.
- Deliver the highest hygiene and sanitation standards for members, prospective members, and guests.

Appearance of the facility
- Keep the sidewalk entrance and lobby welcoming, orderly, and reflective of Equinox’s high standards.
- Regularly restock locker room consumables (e.g., soap, towels).

Room and equipment maintenance
- Deep clean, organise, and sanitise locker rooms, storage, laundry, exercise, and coat rooms.
- Ensure an adequate supply of towels on the exercise floor at all times.
- Provide preventive maintenance for all equipment and facility elements.

Logistics and operations support
- Manage deliveries (receipt, storage, and inventory tracking as needed).
- Contribute to special events, where applicable, to maintain venue readiness.

Proactive communication
- Notify Housekeeping Manager immediately of equipment malfunctions, uncleanliness, or urgent room/area needs.

Requirements
Key Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, you must demonstrate:
- Availability and commitment – Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Clean and sanitary acumen – Clear understanding of detailed hygiene standards needed for high-performance facilities.
- Industry experience – Prior experience in cleaning/laundry is highly preferred.
- Operational fluency – Ability to service athletic equipment and manage cleaning products, hand tools, and basic maintenance tasks.
- Customer service mind-set – Strong communication, multitasking organisational skills to ensure guests and members experience exceptional service.
Other Considerations
- Written as a general guide; other duties may be assigned to support facility operations.
- Must meet legal right-to-work requirements in the United Kingdom.
