Job Description

Female Healthcare Assistants – Nights & Some Day Shifts

Location: Dover, Kent

Role: Healthcare Assistant / Care Assistant

Setting: Care Home

Shifts: Primarily Nights, with potential for some Day Shifts

Hours: Flexible / Regular shifts available

About The Role

Our client is looking for reliable and compassionate female Healthcare Assistants to join their care home team in Dover, Kent.

The role will primarily involve night shifts, with the potential to pick up some day shifts depending on availability and the needs of the service.

You will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their safety, dignity and wellbeing at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care and support to residents
  • Supporting with moving and handling and hoisting where required
  • Assisting residents with their daily and night-time routines
  • Monitoring residents and responding to their needs
  • Supporting with continence and personal hygiene
  • Completing care records accurately
  • Reporting any concerns to senior staff
  • Promoting residents' dignity, independence and wellbeing
  • Working effectively as part of the care team

About You

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous UK care experience
  • Have experience working within a care home or similar setting
  • Are confident providing personal care
  • Are compassionate, reliable and hardworking
  • Have good communication skills
  • Are comfortable working night shifts
  • Have flexibility to work some day shifts where required
  • Can work independently and as part of a team

Experience with dementia care, moving and handling and hoisting is desirable.
