🫶 About the Role
Are you a compassionate, confident and proactive Live-in Carer / Personal Assistant looking for a meaningful role where personality fit really matters?
Join Paragon Home Healthcare and support a young woman living with a spinal cord injury following a spinal stroke in her beautiful apartment in Battersea, London SW11.
We are recruiting female applicants only for this role due to the nature of the client’s intimate personal care requirements. This is considered an occupational requirement and is assessed in line with the Equality Act 2010.
This is a highly personal live-in role for someone who can provide safe, skilled care while also bringing a discreet, positive and PA-style approach. The client is young and wants support that feels dignified, empowering and natural — not overly clinical or institutional.
You’ll be supporting with her daily routine, personal care, bowel care, hoisting, moving and handling, grooming, and general day-to-day assistance, while helping her maintain her independence, confidence and lifestyle.
Over time, the client is also keen to travel and get out more, so this role would suit someone flexible, open-minded and happy to support outings, trips and time away from home where agreed.
Full training is provided, with ongoing support from our experienced nurse-led clinical and care team.
About the Client
Our client is a young woman in her mid-20s living in Battersea, London SW11 with her fiancé.
She has a high spinal cord injury, approximately C3–T6, following a spinal stroke. She is tetraplegic and has some partial movement, including movement in her left big toe and some right-hand movement.
She is looking for someone who can support her safely while helping her continue to feel like herself. This role would suit someone warm, polished, respectful and naturally encouraging — someone who understands that this is not just about care tasks, but about dignity, routine, confidence, lifestyle and quality of life.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
