Female Paediatric Nurse (RNC) – Complex Care (Community)

Location: Dalston, London

Pay Rate: £28.37 - £34.67 per hour (hourly rate includes holiday pay)

Shifts/Hours: Days - 8am - 8pm & Nights - 7:45pm - 8am

Join Our Team

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Registered Paediatric Nurse (RNC) to join our Complex Care team, supporting children and young people with complex healthcare needs in their homes and local communities.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, child-centred care while supporting families to ensure children can live safely and comfortably at home.

About the Role

As a Community Complex Care Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for caring for children and young people with a range of complex medical conditions. You will work closely with families, carers, support workers, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to provide safe and effective care tailored to each child's needs.

In this role, you will be supporting a 5 year old male client within his family home, who is living with several complex care needs. As a member of the team, you will be providing personal care, administering medications and managing his clinical interventions (listed below). Alongside, you will be enhancing our client's life via play and social interactions.

  • Tracheostomy care and suction
  • Tracheostomy tube change
  • Ventilation via tracheostomy
  • Humidification
  • Deep Suctioning
  • Mechanical cough assist
  • PICC lines - awareness only
  • Admin of subcut meds
  • Care and use of Gastrostomy
  • Epilepsy
  • Experience with Ketones
  • Awareness of adrenal crisis management

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain personalised care plans and risk assessments.
  • Deliver and oversee complex clinical interventions
  • Monitor and evaluate care outcomes, escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance, clinical governance, and safeguarding processes.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN/RN Child) with a valid PIN.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Experience caring for children with complex healthcare needs.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and family-centred care approach.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people.
