About The Employer
Looking for someone to support my daughter to take her out socially, my daughter has a diagnoses of cerebral palsy, which mainly affects her lower limbs with low muscle tone, and global developmental delay. My daughter uses a wheelchair to support her mobility, that although has self propelling wheels, is attendant propelled and is currently pre-verbal; communicating through gesture, including pointing, and will use and can understand some Makaton signs therefore someone with Makaton knowledge/experience would be an asset. Ideally looking for someone with knowledge and past experience of working with those with Bi lateral cerebral palsy and with special needs children. Special needs background. Personal care will be necessary. My daughter's hobbies and interests are going on walks, painting, listening to music and dancing, arts and crafts and going on the trampoline, also playing with dolls/ babies. She loves sitting in a coffee shop watching people, she also loves going on the train and particularly the bus. Cigarette smoke can affect therefore we would require a non smoker.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
