Female Rehabilitation Support Workers Required

Location: Heathfield, East Sussex

Vacancy: Full-Time, Part-Time, Bank Opportunities Available

Competitive Pay and Benefits

  • GBP 17.00 per hour: Weekdays

  • GBP 19.00 per hour: Weekends

  • GBP 23.00 per hour: Bank Holidays

  • GBP 10.00 per hour Sleep-In Rate (10:00pm - 6:00am)

Shift Patterns

  • Day Shifts: 7:45am - 8:00pm
  • Sleep-In Night Shifts: 7:45pm - 8:00am (Fri - Sun available)
  • Flexible full-time, part-time, and bank opportunities available
  • Additional shifts available to cover annual leave and absence

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Female Support Workers to join a dedicated rehabilitation team supporting a gentleman with an acquired brain injury living in his own home in the Heathfield area.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop specialist skills in acquired brain injury rehabilitation, diabetes management, and community-based support, whilst working alongside experienced Case Managers and other rehabilitation professionals.

About The Client

Our client is a positive, determined gentleman with a great sense of humour who enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time with family.

His Interests Include

  • Participating in family activities

Following an acquired brain injury, our client requires support with daily living activities, rehabilitation programs, and accessing the community. He values consistency, encouragement, and support from people who share his positive outlook and can engage with his sense of humour.

Please note that cats and dogs are present in the family home.

The Role

Working as part of a specialist support team, you will provide person-centred support and rehabilitation assistance to help our client achieve his goals and maximise his independence.

Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting personal care and daily living activities
  • Meal preparation and domestic tasks
  • Supporting community access, appointments, and social activities
  • Assisting with rehabilitation programs and therapy recommendations
  • Supporting mobility, exercise, and physical activity
  • Medication administration and support
  • Monitoring diabetes and administering insulin following training and competency assessment
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and participation in meaningful activities
  • Maintaining accurate records and communication with the wider team
  • Working closely with therapists, Case Managers, and family members to support agreed rehabilitation goals

Full Training and Support Provided

Successful applicants will receive full induction and ongoing specialist training, including:

  • Acquired Brain Injury

  • Diabetes Management
  • Moving and Handling
  • Health and Safety
  • Rehabilitation Approaches
  • Record Keeping and Documentation

Regular supervision and support will be provided by experienced Brain Injury Case Managers.
