About The Role

We're seeking to hire full-time female support workers to join our dedicated team in Twickenham. Our focus is on the people who live in our service, ensuring that they receive care tailored to their individual needs.

Those we support engage in a range of activities, including arts and crafts, trips to the cinema, and yoga sessions.

You will be assisting individuals with complex needs, including those who are nonverbal, have epilepsy, visual impairments, or require the use of wheelchairs. Given these needs, we're looking for support workers who have some prior experience and are at ease providing personal care, such as bathing, assisting with toileting, or shaving.

Hours & Pay Enhancements

  • Full time to cover long day shifts, which usually are 7:00/7:30am – 8:00pm.
  • Hourly rate £12.82
  • Bank Holidays: £17.46 per hour
  • Sleep-in: N/A but £32 per session
  • An additional £1.00 per hour is paid Monday to Friday nights (10.00pm to 6.00am) and on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Bank holidays: Double time basic rate and time off in-lieu

Location:

  • Twickenham TW1 4, parking available.
  • The service is a short walk to Strawberry Hill station and several bus stops nearby.

About You

You will receive comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to be an excellent Support Worker and to feel confident in providing care to those in the service.

We are looking for people with the right attitude - people who are passionate about making a difference and helping others to live happy, meaningful lives. Successful candidates will need to be caring and patient and able to treat people with dignity, respect, and compassion. You must have good communication skills, including listening and picking up on non-verbal communication. You also need to be able to work well as part of a team.
