Role Description

The Fence Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Stockport. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Installing a range of fence types
  • Preparing and setting posts
  • Mixing and pouring concrete
  • Ensuring accurate measurements and alignment
  • Reading and following installation plans
  • Using hand and power tools safely
  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Interacting professionally with clients
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Working closely with team members to complete projects on time and to specification

Qualifications

  • Practical construction skills, including basic carpentry, use of hand and power tools, and safe material handling.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple site plans, take accurate measurements, and align fencing structures correctly.
  • Strong physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy materials, work outdoors, and perform manual tasks throughout the day.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship, safety, and maintaining a tidy work site.
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach when working with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Reliable transport to the Stockport site and flexibility to work standard full-time hours, with occasional overtime as required. Vehicle provided.
  • Previous experience in fencing installation, landscaping, or general construction is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices and a willingness to follow company policies and procedures.
