Role Description
The Fencing Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Erith, responsible for overseeing fencing operations and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. Day-to-day duties include:

- Planning and coordinating fencing installations
- Managing workloads for the fencing team
- Ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are available and correctly used
- Carrying out site inspections
- Interpreting drawings and specifications
- Providing guidance and problem-solving support to team members

The Fencing Supervisor will liaise with branch staff, customers, and contractors to schedule work, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and within budget. The role also requires:
- Monitoring health and safety compliance
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed
- Contributing to continuous improvement of fencing processes and service levels
Qualifications
- Experience in fencing installation and supervision, including strong practical knowledge of fencing materials, techniques, and site practices.
- Proven team leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and coordinate on-site operatives.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, including scheduling work, managing multiple projects, and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues, customers, and contractors.
- Solid understanding of health and safety standards and regulations relevant to construction and fencing work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and job specifications.
- Basic IT and record-keeping skills for managing job documentation, site reports, and stock information.
- Previous experience in builders’ merchant, construction, or related industry is highly beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally between sites as required.
- Relevant vocational qualifications in construction, carpentry, or fencing are an advantage but not essential.
