Opportunity to Join Our Fetal Medicine/Multiple Team

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our dedicated Fetal Medicine/Multiple Team as a Band 7 Team leader. If you are passionate about fetal wellbeing during pregnancy, including multiple pregnancies, and want to be part of clinical leadership, coordination between QCCH and SMH, supporting service improvement, flexible working patterns, and ensuring high standards of care to women and families, we invite you to express your interest in this vital role.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced midwife who will play a crucial role in understanding how specialized care is provided to expectant mothers and their babies. You will have the chance to work alongside a multidisciplinary team, enhancing your skills and knowledge in advanced fetal medicine including ANNB results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork within a multi-professional environment, demonstrating critical analysis and decision-making skills.
  • Lead the delivery of a clinically excellent, high-quality service, influencing and facilitating change within the units and where appropriate, the organization.
  • Be visible in the clinical area and act as a professional resource for both staff and women. Be able to act decisively whilst maintaining a meticulous approach to standards of care.
  • Ensure a culture of continuous quality improvement through the use of audit, client feedback, and reflection on practice by self and other members of the team.
  • Ensure a continuous improvement approach within the team. Ensure the compliance of clinical quality indicators. Be committed to “making a difference”.
  • Promote a safe and clean environment for staff, women, and visitors by ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and protocols, e.g., health and safety, healthcare-associated infection, risk management, and critical incident reporting and analysis, assessing and managing actual and potential risks to health and well-being.
  • Provide midwifery care to women in the antenatal and postnatal period, including management of emergencies and appropriate referral if indicated. Lead the multiples team and support the team to be present for intrapartum care.
