Description
As a Property Loss Adjuster at Davies, you'll play a vital role in helping customers recover from unexpected property losses, guiding them through the claims journey with expertise, professionalism and empathy. Managing a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial property claims, you'll investigate, assess and resolve claims of varying complexity and value while delivering outstanding customer and client service. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled adjuster who enjoys autonomy, variety and the challenge of making informed decisions that have a real impact on customers when they need support most. Working within a collaborative and high-performing remote team, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise while contributing to the continued success and growth of our market-leading claims business.
What will your day look like:
As a Property Loss Adjuster, you'll take ownership of claims from first notification through to settlement, ensuring customers and clients receive a professional, efficient and empathetic service throughout the process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of domestic and commercial property claims of differing complexity and value.
- Conducting site visits, investigations and assessments to determine cause, extent and validity of losses.
- Providing regular updates to policyholders, stakeholders and clients, ensuring excellent communication throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Interpreting policy coverage and validating claims accurately and fairly.
- Producing high-quality reports and recommendations in line with client requirements and service standards.
- Managing suppliers, contractors and repair networks to achieve positive customer outcomes.
- Identifying potential fraud, recovery opportunities and escalating where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate claim records and ensuring files remain audit-ready at all times.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Davies to deliver excellent service and achieve team objectives.
- Building strong relationships with clients while identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and business growth.

Knowledge and Abilities:
We're seeking an experienced property claims professional who combines technical expertise with strong customer focus and commercial awareness.
You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience handling property loss claims across both domestic and commercial sectors.
- Progress towards, or completion of, a recognised industry qualification at Diploma level or above.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to manage your own workload effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
