Field Application Specialist

AliveDx is seeking a Field Application Specialist to join our Commercial & Strategy team based in the UK. This is a full-time & permanent position.

YOUR MISSION

The AliveDx Field Application Specialist is highly skilled on the AliveDx systems and ensures 1st Level support to customers. The Field Application Specialist conducts AliveDx system on-site commissioning, operational qualification, and customer training. The incumbent conducts their role with the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest customer satisfaction. The incumbent is also expected to support product demonstrations and clinical evaluations if needed.

The position requires knowledge and working experience of autoimmunity testing in a laboratory, with expertise in immunofluorescence assay (IFA) testing. The position also requires technical expertise in diagnostic instrument operation and training, applications troubleshooting, a working knowledge of project management principles, and the ability to support sales activities.

This position requires on-call duties with some up to one weekend per month.

As part of this team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical and applications support for AliveDx Autoimmunity solutions
  • Act as the technical expert and primary liaison for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Deliver customer demonstrations, product training, and application support
  • Support system installation, commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ), and implementation activities
  • Troubleshoot technical and application issues, resolving first-line customer inquiries and escalating complex cases as required
  • Investigate customer complaints, document findings, and support complaint resolution in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
  • Perform on-site customer visits, including product investigations, retesting activities, and performance qualification support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical investigations, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and customer communications
  • Support commercial growth by identifying sales opportunities and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with GMP, GDP, and applicable regulatory requirements

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' work experience as a laboratory technician in autoimmunity testing with expertise in IFA testing
  • Experience and/or certification in regulatory environments such as CLIA, HIPAA, Safe-Harbor, GMP
  • High degree of technical competence & confidence
  • Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills, with a consultative approach focused on delivering an excellent customer experience
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a strong sense of urgency
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills, combined with the ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel - position is field-based and requires travelling up to 50% of time, internationally
  • Fluent in English
