Field Architect / Building Engineer
Location: Talacre, North Wales (On-site)
Sector: Oil & Gas / Energy / Carbon Capture
Contract: 2 Years
IR35: Outside IR35
Working Pattern: 5 days per week on site, 10 hours a day
CCL Global is supporting a major international energy contractor delivering a large-scale industrial redevelopment project in North Wales. The project involves the redevelopment of an existing energy facility to support new carbon capture and CO₂ processing infrastructure.
Role Overview
The Field Architect / Building Engineer will support the delivery of the building and architectural aspects of the project, working closely with engineering, construction teams, and subcontractors on site. The role is focused on ensuring building works, materials, and technical documentation are delivered in line with project specifications and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural, building, and engineering documentation.
- Review and assess building materials and technical submissions.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate building-related subcontractors and contractors on site.
- Support the delivery of building and architectural works during construction.
- Monitor works on site against approved documentation and project requirements.
- Assist with resolving technical and construction-related issues.
- Liaise closely with engineering, construction, and project teams.
- Support site activities through construction, completion, and handover.

Candidate Requirements
- Around 5 years’ experience in building, architectural engineering, or similar roles.
- Strong experience working on major industrial construction projects.
- Background within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, energy, or similar industrial environments.
- Experience reviewing materials, technical submissions, and engineering documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and contractors on live construction sites.
- Strong understanding of building construction within an industrial environment.
- Note: Residential housing and interior architectural design experience alone will not be considered suitable.
