Field-Based Care Quality Assessor

20 hrs per week

Job Purpose

To monitor, assess, and improve the quality-of-care services delivered to customers in their own homes and community settings. The role involves conducting audits, observations, client reviews, and staff competency assessments to ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field-based quality audits of care and support services.
  • Complete support checks, observations, and competency assessments of care staff.
  • Monitor compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and company policies.
  • Carry out service user reviews to gather feedback and ensure care plans meet individual needs.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans with Senior Managers.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Support Senior Managers and Field Care Supervisors in driving continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure care documentation is completed accurately and in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Promote person-centred care and positive outcomes for service users.
  • Provide support and guidance to care staff to improve performance and standards.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within health and social care.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and care standards.
  • Experience conducting support checks or quality monitoring activities.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a field-based workload.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience in Domiciliary care, Live-in care, or Complex care services.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children.
  • Internal auditing or quality assurance experience.
