The Vacancy
Are you passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting independent living for older adults? At McCarthy & Stone, we are committed to ensuring our Homeowners receive the best care possible, and we're looking for a dedicated Field Care Supervisor to join our team.
Role: Field Care Supervisor
Salary: £29,000 pa plus the choice of a company car / or car allowance, with mileage.
Location: Lancaster & surrounding areas
Hours: 37.75 per week that will include alternate weekends
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
As a Field Care Supervisor, your role will involve overseeing and managing a team of mobile care assistants that deliver a mix of personal care and domestic services to our Homeowners, ensuring it is tailored to individual needs and preferences. You’ll work closely with the Registered Care Manager, to promote the services we can provide to a high standard, whilst ensuring compliance, that promote dignity, privacy, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Care Manager to oversee our community care provision within a specific geographical region.
- Delivering an excellent service and encouraging Homeowner reviews and feedback.
- Ensure our care services are safe, effective, and of the highest quality whilst maintaining compliance.
- Collaborate with other teams including Care Compliance, Care Co-ordination, and Care Performance to ensure best practice and update data within care administration systems.
- Manage a team of mobile care assistants ensuring they receive up-to-date training in line with CQC regulations, company policy, and best practice. You will undertake staff reviews and regular spot checks to ensure a high quality of service is delivered.
- To attend homeowner meetings at our developments to discuss and promote the services we can offer.

What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years supervisory care experience in a community, field-based, or home care setting.
- Must hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or preferably hold a L3 or be willing to work towards it.
- Excellent understanding of the elderly care sector and independent living in later life.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with flexibility to work remotely or at a development office.
- To cover care or support calls at short notice, if required.
