Company Description

We at Home Instead – Greenwich & Bexley are proud to be the first and only homecare provider in Greenwich and Bexley boroughs to have received the highest rating of ‘Outstanding’ by CQC!

We provide a variety of homecare services which include companionship, home help, personal care, Live In Care and specialised care. The care plans are highly personalised and tailored to the needs and wishes of our Clients. Continuity of care and building relationships is important to us, therefore, our visits last a minimum of 1 hour to 24/7 and we match our Clients with the right CARE Professionals. Each CARE Professionals will be introduced and have shadow shifts to ensure they feel fully confident before working independently.

Home Instead - Greenwich and Bexley was established in 2015 and our mission is to brighten the lives of seniors giving them a sense of purpose, wellbeing & worth. This role will play a vital part ensuring that our clients receive the best in class quality care and support the growth of our business.

Job Description

  • Working with the Deputy Care Manager to ensure Home Instead care operations have outstanding compliance.
  • Provide support to our Care Professionals in their day to day job
  • Onboard new carers and introduce them to clients
  • Carry out introductions every time a Care Professional is matched to a client for the first time
  • Support, supervise and mentor all Care Professionals
  • Ensure all services are compliant with legislations, CQC standards and regulations
  • Ensure the recording of all necessary information clearly and legibly in line with record keeping policies and procedures
  • Responding to queries from clients
  • Deliver care calls as required in emergencies and gaps in rota
  • Take a turn on a rota basis to manage the office on-call telephone support service.
  • Continually review and improve processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is being delivered

Field Care Supervisors are expected to spend the majority of their working time in the community carrying out their primary functions, but the role will also entail a certain amount of office-based administrative work, according to business needs.

Qualifications

  • Hold, or be working towards, minimum QCF/NVQ level 3 qualification in Social Care
  • Understanding of CQC assessment criteria for Outstanding scores
  • Extremely well organised, excellent planning and prioritising ability with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship building abilities
