Field Controller (One Network), Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months, Full Time

We're looking for a proactive and organised Field Controller to join our Operations team at KCOM. In this role, you'll coordinate field engineering resources and service provisioning activities, ensuring our residential and business customers receive an efficient, high-quality service.

You'll play a key role in meeting customer commitments, service levels, and operational objectives through effective planning, communication, and resource management.

Salary – Up to £31,000 per annum dependant on experience

Location – Salvesen Way, Hull, with hybrid working (3 office days per week Tuesday to Thursday)

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritise field engineering activities to meet customer commitments and SLAs.
  • Allocate installations, faults and provisioning tasks to maximise resource efficiency.
  • Liaise with customers, engineers and internal teams to support successful service delivery.
  • Provision and configure network services and customer equipment using operational systems.
  • Maintain accurate provisioning, routing and network records.
  • Monitor workloads and performance to support operational targets.
  • Support project delivery and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company, security, health and safety policies.

Candidate Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience coordinating workloads, resources or service delivery activities in a customer-focused operational environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders, including customers, engineers and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate operational records.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Teams and Excel.
