We have a new opportunity open for a site-based Supervisor/Lead Chiller Technician, located in Capenhurst, Cheshire. In this role, you will be leading a team of HVAC technicians to deliver service and maintenance to HVAC & Chiller equipment at a prestigious manufacturing facility.

What You Will Do
As a Lead Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the service and maintenance of complex liquid chillers, including centrifugal, screw, and magnetic bearing compressors. Prior experience in this specialized field is essential, though additional training on York equipment will be offered.

- You will be responsible for leading a team to ensure the highest level of service is always carried out, meeting client KPIs and timelines.
- You will work with a site-based administrator, and your ability to maintain a high level of communication with our client is paramount to ensuring breakdowns and repairs are conducted with priority and criticality levels.
- You will take ownership of managing and issuing plant maintenance and service reports in a timely manner.
- Due to the varied workload, you will be expected to resource additional technicians from the mobile team. This will mean a continuous working relationship with other JCI line managers.
- Management of the site team out-of-hours rota will also be required.
- Due to the nature of the site, EHS control and adherence must be maintained at all times. This includes the issuing of task-specific RAMS, management of COSHH data, and regular EHS meetings.
- Management of site tools and equipment will also be part of this role, including PAT Test & Tool calibration recording.
- SC clearance is a requirement for site access, this will be actioned prior to the initial start date.

What We Look For
Technical Certifications:
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Level 3 (or higher).
- Refrigerant Handling Certification (2079).
Safety and Compliance:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements), and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) protocols.
- IOSH qualification preferred.
- First Aid at Work certification.
Other Requirements:
- Valid Driving Licence.
Technical Expertise:
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning technician experience with Large Tonnage Chiller.
IT Proficiency:
- IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Apple iPad, or other digital platforms.
Experience in Nuclear Manufacturing:
- Previous experience working on nuclear manufacturing sites is highly desirable, given the safety-critical nature of the environment.
