£30,000 to £38,000 | UK field-based | Travel expenses covered
A practical automotive role with the freedom to plan your own week, full training on specialist EV testing equipment.
You will spend around four days a week visiting dealerships and remarketing sites across the UK, testing electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. All travel and accommodation costs are covered.
The work is hands-on and purposeful. The data you collect will directly improve a growing battery diagnostics product, while a direct reporting line to the CTO gives you proper access to the people building it. This is a stable, long-term opportunity for someone who values autonomy, accuracy and doing the job properly.
What You'll Be Doing
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Plan and manage your own schedule of site visits, typically spending four days a week on the road.
- Test EVs and PHEVs at customer sites, following defined procedures and recording vehicle data accurately every time.
- Find and assess makes and models not yet supported, working from engineering's target list and flagging anything unusual.
- Represent the business professionally on site, handle basic equipment queries and pass useful customer feedback to the right people.
What You'll Need to Bring
- A full UK driving licence and the willingness to travel.
- Experience in a practical or field-based role, such as vehicle technician, inspector, appraiser or field service engineer. However, open to other relevant backgrounds.
- A meticulous and reliable approach, with the confidence to organise your diary and work without daily supervision.
- Comfort using laptops, smartphones and mobile apps. Automotive, EV, high-voltage or diagnostic experience would be useful but is not essential.
