We partner with MSPs, resellers and system integrators - including Toshiba, Fujitsu, Computacenter, SCC and CDW - to deliver end-to-end deployment, installation, project management, maintenance and end-of-life support.

Through our channel partners, we support large international multi-site organisations across the retail, public and government sectors. End customers include Lululemon, Greggs and Southern Co-op, to name a few, with solutions from Cisco, HPE Aruba, Meraki and other leading technology providers. With 24/7 support, 2-4 hour engineer response, 40+ UK and European stocking locations and 99%+ SLA performance, we stand out from large, rigid competitors by being transparent, flexible and easy to do business with.

Purpose of the Role

The Field Engineer role is responsible for delivering high-quality on-site engineering services to Smart CT clients, primarily across the Midlands. Working as part of a nationwide network of skilled engineers, the role provides reliable, professional break-fix support at a wide range of client locations.

The primary purpose of the role is to install, deploy and configure IT hardware safely and effectively, ensuring each assignment is completed to the required technical, quality and customer-service standards. The Field Engineer will represent Smart CT on site, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and contribute to the consistent delivery of dependable networking services.

Following completion of the required training, the post holder will participate in the on-call rota, typically providing on-call cover for one week in every four, to help maintain responsive support for customers outside normal working hours.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Deployment

  • Install, maintain and deploy IT networking and point-of-sale hardware at client sites, ensuring safe working practices and seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Configure hardware in line with client specifications, technical instructions and Smart CT quality standards.
  • Test completed installations and confirm that equipment is operating correctly before leaving site.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
