We are looking for our company based in Southport, United Kingdom, for an

Field Engineer (f/m/d)

Position Overview:

Are you technically minded, enjoy solving problems and like working directly with customers? We are looking for a Field Engineer to join our Technical Services team and support the installation, commissioning and ongoing operation of our immersive technology solutions across the UK.

In this hands-on role, you will be one of the key technical contacts for our customers on site. You will commission and test newly installed systems, guide customers through handover and training, and return for maintenance or technical support when required.

Working closely with our Technical Support, Operations and Technical Services teams, you will help ensure that every customer receives a reliable solution and a high-quality experience from commissioning through to ongoing use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission, configure and test immersive technology solutions at customer sites across the UK.
  • Complete customer handovers and provide practical training on system operation, Studio software and basic troubleshooting.
  • Carry out scheduled and reactive post-installation support, maintenance and repair visits.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and system integration issues, collaborating with Technical Support on complex cases.
  • Support site surveys and pre-installation technical checks to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate commissioning, service and handover documentation and comply with Health & Safety, ISO and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with Operations and Technical Support throughout installation, commissioning and customer aftercare, including remote support internationally where required.
  • Support the testing of new hardware and software solutions, provide feedback from customer sites and contribute to continuous improvement of technical services

Location: UK | Field-based with regular travel to customer sites

Essential Skills & Experience:

You do not need to know our products when you join us – we will provide the training you need. What matters is a strong technical foundation, practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to work independently at customer sites.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • A technical or vocational qualification in IT, electronics, electrical engineering, AV technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service, technical support, AV/IT installation, commissioning or a similar technical role.
  • Good knowledge of PC hardware, Windows environments and basic networking.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration, installation, commissioning and technical troubleshooting.
  • A practical, hands-on approach and confidence diagnosing technical issues.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote technical and operational teams.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly to customer locations across the UK (stay out up to 3 nights per week), internationally when required.
  • A full UK driving licence.
