Field Engineer - LEV, PUWER & LOLER Inspections
Location: East Anglia (Norwich, Ipswich & surrounding areas)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and professional Field Engineer to join our specialist inspection and compliance team covering Norwich, Ipswich and the wider East Anglia region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a mechanical or electrical background who enjoys working independently, solving technical challenges, and delivering high-quality services to a diverse range of clients.
The successful candidate will undertake a variety of inspection, testing and compliance activities, including LEV testing, PUWER inspections, and LOLER thorough examinations, across manufacturing, engineering, education, commercial and public sector environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) testing and assessments.
- Undertake PUWER inspections on machinery and work equipment.
- Complete LOLER thorough examinations of lifting equipment and accessories.
- Produce accurate technical reports, certificates and recommendations.
- Identify defects and advise clients on remedial actions.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients.
- Ensure all inspections comply with current legislation, standards and industry guidance.
- Manage your own workload and travel throughout East Anglia and surrounding areas.
Essential Requirements
- Mechanical, electrical or engineering background.
- Experience carrying out inspections, testing, maintenance or compliance assessments.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- BOHS P601 and/or P602.
- LEEA qualification or LOLER inspection experience.
- Experience undertaking PUWER inspections.
- HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Previous experience within an inspection, compliance, consultancy or engineering environment.
