Field Support Engineer
Contract from October - November 2026
Multiple UK Locations
Competitive Rate of Pay
We are currently recruiting a number of Field Support Engineers / Field Technicians to support a nationwide technology deployment and support programme across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with experience in Field Support, EPOS, Desktop Support, Hardware Deployment, Telecoms, Break/Fix Services, or Onsite IT Support who enjoy working independently, travelling between customer locations, and delivering high levels of service.
The Role
Working within your allocated region, you will visit retail stores to carry out planned technology health checks and complete straightforward remediation activities where required.
You will follow a structured checklist, assess installed equipment, replace hardware where instructed, and escalate any complex technical issues to the dedicated support team.
The role typically involves visiting approximately three stores per day and offers a great opportunity to work on a large-scale national project.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
