Role Description
The Field Engineer role is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the installation, maintenance, and performance of WhiffAway’s waterless urinal, biological, and closed system technologies at customer sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Conducting on-site assessments
- Performing diagnostics

The Field Engineer will provide technical support to customers and internal teams, document service activities, prepare reports, and communicate clearly about system status, recommendations, and follow-up actions. The role also involves coordinating small projects, such as new installations or upgrades, collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders, and adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards. Occasional travel to client locations will be required, with remote coordination and reporting to the wider engineering and support teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and technical support skills to diagnose and resolve issues with systems and equipment.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and field service skills to interact with customers on-site and represent the company professionally.
- Candidates should possess project management capabilities to plan, coordinate, and deliver installation or upgrade activities to agreed timelines.
- Candidates should have a solid technical background, ideally in mechanical, electrical, or environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
- Candidates should be comfortable working remotely, managing their own schedule, and traveling to customer locations as required.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate service documentation.
- Experience in facilities management, plumbing systems, hygiene solutions, or building services is beneficial.
- A relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with health and safety practices are advantageous.
