Job Summary
Field Engineer Trainees play a crucial role in our company’s growth by developing into future technical specialists, managers and leaders. This position provides the opportunity to build expertise in product knowledge, leadership, customer interaction and the delivery of engineering services accurately, safely and efficiently. As a Field Engineer Trainee, you will have opportunities to work towards professional membership with a relevant engineering institution. You will learn the business from the ground up, gaining the knowledge, skills and experience needed to become a skilled and confident specialist in your field.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing area of the business, supporting Completions & Well Intervention (CWI) activities. You will join a small, collaborative team and undertake a structured training programme designed to develop your technical knowledge, field experience, customer-facing skills and engineering capabilities. As you progress through your development and achieve the required technical competencies, you will have the opportunity to progress into a specialised CWI Engineering role, providing engineering and operational support for completion and well intervention activities.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
During the training program, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
- Supporting the planning and execution of completion, workover and well intervention operations.
- Supporting the preparation and review of Authorisations for Expenditure (AFEs)
- Develop an understanding of well integrity, well barriers, pressure control and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
- Execute service delivery to the customer.
- Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
- Develop customer contacts to promote company products and services.
- Ensure company and regulatory standard compliance by implementing the Compliance Assessment Tool (CAT), self-assessments, and well site inspections.
- Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
- Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
- Maintain the required safety training.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering. Candidates with degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Process Engineering are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Be globally mobile.
- Willingness and ability to work in a field-based and operational environment.
- The desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business on high-value, technically complex products/projects.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
