WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?

Permanent Role

  • £27k pa – rising to £32-34k pa after completion of training (usually around 3 months) – during the initial training, you are still paid subsistence and any enhancements working away and for unsociable hours
  • Average yearly salary £41k - £50k (including bonus and enhancements)
  • Quarterly Bonus Scheme averaging £500-£2,000 per quarter
  • Generous subsistence & enhancement payments (e.g. £60 per night working away)
  • Increased subsistence & enhancements for work in Europe and North America

THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit a Field Installation Technician to work for our client based in Northumberland. Our client supports a wide array of sectors and due to unprecedented growth and company development, they are seeking an installation technician to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working away from home throughout the week; and alongside an established team to further support our client’s ever-expanding strong customer base.

THE ROLE

  • You will work away from home throughout the UK Monday-Friday (Typically leaving Monday morning, returning Friday afternoon)
  • You will carry out multi-site visits across diverse locations
  • You will be installing new and replacement heat retention cover systems in a poolside environment
  • You will provide technical service to customers, during installation, service, repair and maintenance of their pool cover systems
  • You will deliver first-class customer service
  • You will be working in a team of 2
  • This is a physically demanding role involving lifting & carrying
  • All Installation Technicians will be subject to a valid DBS and reference checks

THE PERSON

  • Mechanically minded, proven ability in problem solving and electrical fault finding
  • CSCS Card, PASMA &/or Abrasive wheels Cert desirable - or a willingness to achieve these within the probation period, with some studying in your own time
  • Hand tool and power tool experience preferable
  • Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a 2-man crew, installing, repairing and maintaining equipment on site using a variety of tools and industry specific processes
  • Be a team player and able to effectively communicate with colleagues
  • A good level of computer literacy, used to software apps and related smart phone/hand-held technologies
  • As the face of the company, you will have direct communication with our clients and therefore must be presentable, polite, passionate, hardworking and able to provide great customer service
  • A comprehensive understanding of, and a commitment to the highest standards of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Skill-sets and experience are important; however, we value good character, positivity and a willingness to learn and progress
  • A Driver CPC Licence would be advantageous but not essential
  • Willing to undertake any training and development deemed appropriate to your role
