Role description
We are looking for a Field Manager to join our growing UK Wind Division. This is a unique hybrid role offering a balance of home working, office collaboration, and regular site visits, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact both with your team and our customers.
Reporting to the UK Wind Division Manager, you will lead and support a team of field-based service professionals and a dedicated Service Scheduler, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery across the UK. Acting as a key link between operations, technical support, customers and business stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating activities, driving performance, supporting employee development and maintaining exceptional customer relationships. This role will report directly to the Division Manager – Wind UK
Key tasks & responsibilities
- Management, supervision and administrative support of The UK Wind Service team members (inclusive of the Service Scheduler) in their day-to-day work activities
- Support and manage the welfare of the field team and the Service Scheduler.
- Work closely with the Technical Manager to ensure the field team, and the projects are sufficiently supported.
- Work closely with the Technical Manager as they create the SSOW’s for field works.
- Report on field activities and project status to peers and the Divisional Manager as required.
- Liaise with the Business Support Manager and the New Business Manager regarding field activities. Taking receipt of handover notes and ensuring they are distributed to the relevant field team members as well as the Service Scheduler. Challenging the work scope if required.
- Ensure the Service Scheduler, New Business Manager, Technical Manager and field team remain aligned by acting as the communication bridge.
- Carry out site visits and job auditing as required. With an expectation of regular site visits to liaise directly with the field team and customers. The emphasis being communication, feedback from the cold face and providing support to all parties.
- Liaise with customers in support of operational matters at the site level. Build close relationships with site and regional level customer representatives. Draw on the New Business Manager as required to assist with commercial matters.
- Advice on training requirements for field team members, work closely with the Training Manager to ensure all field team members are kept up to date with their training requirements. At the same time actively monitor the training and certification status of the field team members in conjunction with the training department.
- Where required, lead the recruitment process for any additional or replacement field team members, Keeping the Division Manager informed and seeking approval for position recruitment ahead of time.
- Actively contribute towards field safety improvements and welfare status. This will be concurrent to ensuring compliance with the company’s Business Management System, including Quality, Health & Safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Deliver employee performance conversations.
- Encourage employee development and discuss pathways for learning, and development with the Division and Training Managers as required
- Carry out duties as required by the company in the business interest. This may include working additional hours, weekends, and travelling or staying away from home when required to meet business and customer needs.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in field service management or a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of Avanti Lifts or similar access systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
