Who We Are
At Liftec Express, we keep people moving safely and reliably, while building a company our team is proud of and our customers trust.
Previously part of Otis, Liftec is now an independent business with a big ambition: to become a £100m turnover company by 2035. We'll get there by giving property managers, facilities managers, building owners and main contractors outstanding service from a responsive independent partner.
Why More Salespeople from competitors Are Joining
- Less red tape, more selling. You won't spend your week chasing approvals. Our quoting system is slick, decision-makers are accessible, and our MD will look at non-standard terms when there's a good reason. One of our recent hires, who joined from a major OEM, says producing a quote, seeing a customer and getting terms approved is far easier here.
- A service you won't have to apologise for. Too often in this industry, salespeople win a contract that the service team then can't deliver. Not here. We do proper maintenance visits of around 45 minutes, not a ten-minute box-tick. We make proactive recommendations, manage shutdowns properly and take every customer issue seriously. You'll never look foolish in front of a client because operations let you down.
- A team, not a lone wolf. Big companies often leave their salespeople to fend for themselves. Here, the sales team works together and pulls in the same direction, with real support behind you.
- Room to grow. As we scale toward £100m, the sales structure will grow with us, including future leadership roles. Lisa will coach and develop strong performers every step of the way.
- Earnings that reward results. You'll get a competitive basic plus commission paid on every lift you bring on contract. The best-structured deals earn the most, and good salespeople can earn very well.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A Word from Lisa
Lisa has sold at the top level for Otis, TKE and Schindler. She was one of Otis's leading modernisation salespeople before joining Liftec.
"I joined Liftec because it's an ambitious business with huge potential. It's fast-paced with a great team around you and everyone genuinely wants to help. I felt at home very quickly. We're independent, growing rapidly and there's a real opportunity for good salespeople to come in, make their mark and be part of what we're building."
The Opportunity
This is a pure new business role. There's no inherited account book and no renewals. Your mission is to win new lift maintenance contracts across a patch with thousands of lifts in it.
You'll:
- Build and manage your own prospect pipeline
- Target decision-makers across property management, facilities, building ownership and main contractors
- Take opportunities from first contact through to signed contract
- Conduct site visits and consultative customer meetings
- Prepare proposals, presentations and commercial submissions
- Lead and complete tender submissions, including full commercial review
- Negotiate long-term maintenance agreements
- Keep your CRM pipeline and forecasting accurate
- Work with our operational teams to ensure a smooth handover once business is won

Lift service contracts are typically three years and are well written, so some opportunities mean keeping a prospect warm for the long haul. Others can be won quickly, and there are always one- and two-lift wins to be had. You'll need the drive of a hunter and the patience to build relationships over time.
About You
You'll already be selling lift service and maintenance contracts and know how the industry works.
This role needs someone who can hit the ground running, so lift industry experience is essential.
You'll bring:
- A track record of winning new B2B lift service & maintenance customers
- Strong prospecting and pipeline-building skills
- Consultative, relationship-led selling. SPIN-style approaches work really well here.
- The ability to understand customer pressure points and build trust over long sales cycles
- Strong commercial, negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience with proposals and tenders
- Good CRM and forecasting discipline
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Service sales here is about long-term relationships and understanding what keeps customers awake at night. It doesn't need the deep engineering expertise of modernisation sales. Our modernisation specialists work alongside you when those opportunities arise.
We're looking for people who are open-minded and inquisitive, take extreme ownership, put the customer at the centre and act with honesty and integrity. If that sounds like you, come and help us build what comes next.
Benefits:
- Competitive base salary
- 15% annual bonus, paid quarterly
- Car allowance
- Pension from day one through Aviva
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
- Employee Assistance Programme from day one
- Death in Service cover at three times salary
- Discretionary sickness scheme
- Enhanced maternity and paternity provision, subject to service
- Employee discounts platform
- Employee referral scheme
- Role-dependent incentive scheme
