About FIDO Tech

FIDO Tech is an AI-driven technology business addressing one of the world’s most urgent challenges: water scarcity. Using advanced AI and acoustic technology, FIDO enables water utilities globally to detect leaks with unprecedented accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency.

Beyond utilities, FIDO works with corporate clients to build a catalytic community between corporates, utilities, and technology providers helping organisations strengthen ESG reporting, improve supply chain resilience, and reduce water-related operational risks across their global footprints.

The role

We are looking for a practical, safety-focused and customer-oriented Field Operations Engineer to support the delivery of leakage investigation and validation activity across water distribution networks. This is a field-based role, helping to identify, confirm and evidence water leakage while supporting the successful use of FIDO technology in operational environments.

You will play an important frontline role in delivering high-quality field investigations, supporting customers and delivery partners, and helping teams understand how to apply FIDO technology and field practices effectively to achieve non-revenue water outcomes.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver field operations across FIDO Tech and Aqua Plus programmes in line with agreed plans, priorities and operational standards.
  • Carry out safe, accurate and efficient leakage investigations, ensuring work is completed to required quality, technical and reporting standards.
  • Use field insight and data outputs to prioritise investigations and support delivery outcomes.
  • Provide clear updates on progress, risks, constraints and field findings to Operations, Project Delivery and Technical teams.
  • Support customers and delivery partners through practical field-based coaching, demonstrations and guidance.
  • Promote correct use of FIDO Sensors, Relays and associated field practices.
  • Act as a frontline advocate for FIDO technology, clearly explaining what we do, why it matters and how it supports operational results.
  • Work in full compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Travel across UK field locations and internationally as required to support operational delivery, customer onboarding and training activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
