About The Role
Based at the Mogden site and across the Isleworth area, this full-time Field Operations Manager role covers Waste Networks. The postholder leads, supports and motivates a field-based team of Network Engineers, ensuring daily operations run safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include delivering regulatory compliance within strict budgets, providing operational leadership, and acting as a role model through hands-on field support. Performance management of the team is central, alongside developing staff capability.
Salary ranges from £40,000 to £50,000, dependent on skills and experience. Candidates need proven people management, budget control, and operational delivery expertise.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in one of our most critical people management roles within Waste Networks as a front-line Field Operations Manager. You will take responsibility for the management, support and motivation of your field-based team.
You will ensure the day-to-day operations of the networks, deliver regulatory compliance within strict budgets and lead and develop a team of Network Engineers. In this varied role you will be both at our Mogden site and out in the field with your team.
What will you be doing as a Field Operations Manager?
- Provide strong operational leadership, act as a role model for the team, and offer hands-on support to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of operational objectives.
- Performance managing a field operations team to deliver operational asset maintenance, customer service targets and supporting efficient completion of projects.
- Monitor and drive performance against key metrics to make sure all work is responded to promptly.
- Direct and develop Network Engineers by setting measurable goals, holding team meetings, one to one-on-ones, completing the PDR process and creating individual development training plans.
- Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team.
- Take team responsibility for safe working practices which comply with company procedures.
- Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements.
- When required to cover annual leave, sickness absence, operational demand, or other business needs, the Field Operations Manager will take direct control of pollution, flooding, and mitigation activities.

Location
Mogden - Isleworth - TW7 7LW and in the field with your team
Hours
36 hours – Monday to Friday
Salary
£40,000 to £50,000 depending on skills and experience + a car allowance
What should you bring to the role?
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
- Experience in directing, developing and performance-managing field-based operatives.
- A positive, engaging personality and style.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role, and you must have an exceptional standard of organisation and be health, safety, and wellbeing aware.
- You will be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software.
- Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
- Formal influence and management qualifications are desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of the waste water network are desirable.
- The ability to converse with managers and stakeholders.
