We're looking for a Field Operations Team Engineer with strong networking expertise to join a growing technical team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, commissioning complex systems, fault finding, and working on varied projects across customer environments throughout the UK.

This role offers exposure to a diverse range of technologies and the opportunity to work on highly technical projects where quality, innovation, and customer service are paramount.

The Role:

As a Field Operations Team Engineer, you will play a key role in the final stages of project delivery, ensuring systems are fully configured, tested, commissioned, and ready for customer handover. You'll also provide ongoing maintenance and support across a range of networking, communications, and operational technology environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Commissioning, configuring, and testing networking and communications solutions
  • Supporting installation and project delivery activities across customer sites
  • Performing fault diagnosis, maintenance, and system optimisation
  • Delivering preventative and reactive maintenance services
  • Producing technical reports and system documentation
  • Building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service
  • Participating in out-of-hours support and on-call activities when required
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Collaborating with engineering, project, and technical teams to deliver successful outcomes

What We're Looking For:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with IP networking technologies
  • Experience configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting communications equipment
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK, with occasional international travel
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience

  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP or equivalent)
  • Current SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance
  • Cyber security experience
  • Knowledge of SDN, DWDM, TDM, Microwave, Telephony, CCTV, or Access Control technologies
  • Electrical qualifications including 18th Edition or Inspection & Testing certifications
  • Experience working within critical infrastructure environments
