Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

In order to achieve your goals, you will need to inspire and motivate your team whilst also being able to empathise and understand as each person in your team is different, which is something we are proud of and hope that you will both embrace and nurture, helping to build a strong team environment.

As you will be able to see from the above, there are plenty of things to help you feel fulfilled at work and the sense that you have achieved something, however, you should also know (Here comes the Superhero quote), ‘With great power, comes great responsibility’ as the FPM, you will be required to be available at short notice (not all of the time, there is a rota), to respond to incidents that may occur, ensuring we continue to deliver the best services possible for the customers.

Your water process knowledge would be desirable; however, any chemistry or process experience from any other industry would be advantageous. You will be methodical and motivational in your approach to team management and be able to guide performance in their operational areas. A strong leadership skill with experience in managing a remote team is essential, as your contribution to positively impact team morale is paramount to this role. Your ability to work under pressure and managing conflicting priorities is key in this highly empowering position.
