Field Robotics Integration Engineer | ROS / Autonomous Systems / Robotics Deployment
We are currently partnered with an innovative robotics and autonomous systems company developing advanced robotic solutions for demanding industrial, construction, and off-highway environments. As part of their continued deployment and commercial expansion, they are looking to hire a Field Robotics Integration Engineer to lead the integration, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of complex robotic systems in real-world environments.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy, integrate, configure, and commission complex robotic systems at customer and field locations.
- Conduct rigorous field testing to validate robotic hardware, software, sensors, autonomy functions, and system performance under real-world operating conditions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex multi-layered hardware and software issues across robotics platforms.
- Troubleshoot issues spanning robotic software, embedded systems, sensors, communications, compute platforms, and mechanical components.
- Work extensively with ROS and ROS 2 to configure, test, debug, and validate robotic systems.
- Use Linux-based environments and Git-based development workflows to support system integration and field deployments.
- Develop and maintain integration scripts, diagnostic tools, and deployment workflows using C++ and Python.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
