Role Overview

As a Field Sales Account Manager you will be covering the Central Scotland - Dundee, Edinburgh, Fife, Glasgow, Perth, Ayrshire.

This is a fantastic brand new opportunity for a driven sales professional to join a market-leading business, take ownership of the region and make a real impact through customer growth, new business development and relationship management, while building a long-term career with us.

Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

  • Business Development & Account Management
    • Proactively building and winning new business with house builders, developers, plumbing & heating contractors, and renewables companies across the region
  • Managing, maintaining and growing a portfolio of existing key accounts
  • Monitoring market trends, new build activity, and competitor activity in your region
  • Identifying and converting competitor accounts and new build project opportunities
  • Working closely with your base branch and the wider branch network across the region to ensure exceptional service, stock availability and pricing is delivered locally
  • Providing technical advice and system specification on plumbing, heating and renewable products, with a particular focus on Air Source Heat Pumps
  • Working closely with the in-house Heating Design Team & Bathroom Showroom team
  • Working with suppliers to deliver product training for customers on new technologies and product innovations

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm.

Requirements

And here's what we'd like you to have:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven track record in Field Sales dealing with Account Management and Business Development
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver results.
  • Essential to have proven experience in the Plumbing & Heating Industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of domestic heating systems
  • Good understanding of renewable products, specifically Air Source Heat Pumps
  • Excellent relationship builder – comfortable selling at director, buyer, contracts manager and site level
