Alfa Laval UK&I are currently looking for a Field Sales Account Manager to join our team.
Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping. As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build careers too.
About the Role
We are recruiting a Field Sales Manager to join our Service Sales Team within the UK Food & Pharma Division, with a focus on separation technology across the Midlands and South of England. Ideally, candidates will be based within this region.
Your primary responsibility is to grow after sales and service revenue by developing existing customer relationships and identifying new opportunities. You will work closely with the Capital Sales Team to maximise market potential and deliver a superior customer experience.
As part of the Service Sales Team, you will collaborate with the Business Unit Manager, sales colleagues, and service operations teams to realise our growth ambitions.
This is an external, home-based role requiring a blend of traditional field sales activity and digital collaboration. You will spend approximately 80% of your time in the field, with regular travel across the region and the wider UK, including frequent overnight stays.
You will be responsible for driving service sales growth through effective key account management, service contract development, coordination of service activities and proactive customer engagement. A critical part of the role is supporting our digital transformation and delivering a compelling value proposition that strengthens customer loyalty and drives long-term growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
