About the Role
We are looking for someone who wants to build business, not simply inherit it.
This is not an account management role with a warm customer list, a diary full of pre-booked meetings, and leads arriving every morning.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing your own territory and creating opportunities from scratch. That means:
- Identifying suitable manufacturers, warehouses, and logistics operations
- Cold calling and opening conversations with operational decision-makers
- Creating and managing your own prospecting activity
- Arranging and attending site visits
- Understanding how customers currently manage their end-of-line packaging processes
- Identifying opportunities around machinery, stretch films, efficiency, cost reduction, and process improvement
- Working with our operations and engineering teams to develop the right solution
- Producing and progressing proposals
- Managing your own pipeline, diary, and follow-up activity
- Developing new accounts into long-term customer relationships
- Keeping accurate records and remaining accountable for activity and results
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Requirements
You will have the freedom to manage your own week, but that freedom comes with responsibility.
We are looking for someone who creates momentum, rather than waits for it.
You will be expected to maintain consistent prospecting activity, keep opportunities moving, and communicate openly with the wider team. This is not a role for someone who is comfortable drifting or who needs to be repeatedly chased for updates, calls, or appointments.
You will be supported, but you will not be carried.
We can teach the products. We can teach the machinery. We can teach the applications.
What we cannot teach is drive.
The right person will be self-motivated, commercially hungry, organized, and willing to learn. You must be comfortable picking up the phone, walking into factories, asking intelligent questions, and hearing “no” without losing momentum.
Experience within packaging, manufacturing, automation, logistics, or FMCG would be useful, but it is not essential. Attitude, work ethic, and the ability to build trust matter more.

We do not sell from a catalogue. We assess the operation, identify genuine problems, and recommend solutions that improve cost, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.

This is also an opportunity to join Excelerate at an important stage of its growth and become part of the journey, rather than simply filling another sales position.
There is real scope to build a strong territory, generate significant commission, and grow with the business.
Package
Basic salary plus commission linked directly to the business you generate.
