Full-Time | 1-Year Fixed Term Contract

Looking to build a long-term career in field sales with the security of a base salary and uncapped commission?

Join SumUp as a Field Sales Associate and help small businesses access smarter payment and POS solutions, while developing your sales career in one of the fastest-growing fintech sectors.

This is a fully employed, field-based, face-to-face role where you’ll meet business owners, understand their needs, and introduce solutions that genuinely help them run and grow their business.

The Package

  • Base Salary: £28,800 p.a.
  • Car Allowance: £6,000 p.a.
  • Operational Allowance: £2,000 p.a.
  • OTE: £57,600+ (double your base)
  • Uncapped commission where top performers can earn far more than their OTE

Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term (with a view to become permanent)

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Field Sales Associate, you will:

  • Visit local SMEs (cafés, salons, shops, restaurants and more)
  • Speak with business owners to understand how their business operates
  • Identify their challenges, pain points, and growth opportunities
  • Demonstrate simple, effective payment and POS solutions
  • Recommend the right setup based on each business’s needs
  • Manage your territory, pipeline, and follow-ups
  • Work toward monthly sales targets

What We’re Looking For

This role requires previous face-to-face customer experience.

You must be comfortable speaking with people in person, understanding their needs, and guiding conversations toward solutions.

Ideal backgrounds include:

  • Field sales
  • Retail or hospitality roles with upselling
  • Door-to-door or promotional work
  • B2B or B2C sales roles
  • Any customer-facing role where you handled objections and solved problems

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can confidently approach and engage new people
  • Understands how to uncover customer needs and pain points
  • Is target-driven and motivated by commission
  • Works well independently in a field-based role
  • Is resilient, organised, and eager to build a sales career
