Premium Power Units Ltd (PPU) is looking for a Field Sales Business Development Manager. We are a new motor, gearbox & pump sales & repair company based in Clydebank, Glasgow. We require an external field sales engineer for an immediate start.
PPU distributes industrial electrical and mechanical products, electric motors, geared motors & pumps to industrial customers throughout Scotland and carries out repairs and modifications within our workshop. We have been established and based in Clydebank for 40 years and are the only Authorised Brook Crompton Motor Centre in Scotland.

About the Role
We are excited to be recruiting for a full-time Field Sales Business Development Manager working from our Glasgow premises. You will be offered a multitude of training and progression opportunities within the company as your experience progresses. You will be primarily field-based, operating from our Glasgow office/workshop, and be our main facing contact to our existing and new clients.
Main Duties – But not restricted to:
- Promoting our products & services to clients.
- Visiting existing clients to expand upon existing business.
- Expanding the company’s client base through cold calling.
- Assisting with internal sales when required.
- Gaining knowledge of our sales & quote systems.
- Assisting with general duties (delivery, etc.) when required.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on individual who has a keen interest in the electro/mechanical field and has:
- Previous sales experience required, internal looking for an external role may be considered for the right person.
- Experience in electrical motors or mechanical engineering trades.
- Previous experience in an engineering, electrical or mechanical environment.
It would be great if you had experience in the following sales roles: Engineer, Engineering, Technician, Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
