Field Sales Business Development Manager – Electro/Mechanical

Salary: DOE / £36K

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week

Holidays: 30 days

Car: Company car with fuel card / Car allowance


Premium Power units Ltd (PPU) are a family owned business with a long history, we have been established and based in Clydebank for 40 YEARS and Are The Only Authorised Brook Crompton Motor Centre in Scotland.

We are looking to add to our team so looking for a Field Sales / Business Development Manager, we are new motor, gearbox & pump sales & repair company based in Clydebank, Glasgow, we carry out all repair work & overhauls at our facility & require an external field sales engineer to promote our services around Scotland this role is available for immediate start.

PPU distribute industrial electrical and mechanical control products Variable Speed Drives, Electric Motors, Geared Motors & Pumps to industrial customers throughout Scotland.

About The Role

You will be offered a multitude of training both manufacturer and within the company as your experience progresses there will be opportunities for progression.

You will be primarily field based operating from our Glasgow office / workshop being our main facing contact to our existing and new clients.

Main Duties – But Not Restricted To

  • Promoting our products & services to clients.
  • Visiting existing clients to expand upon existing business.
  • Expand the company’s client base through our social media routes, cold calling etc.
  • Assist with internal sales etc. when required.
  • Gain knowledge of our sales & quote systems.
  • Assist with general duties delivery etc. when required.

Our Ideal Candidate

Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic sales individual with the drive and enthusiasm to excel within this role, who preferably has experience within an engineering / mechanical sales, aftersales role. We will also accept applicants who have experience in the following:

  • Previous internal sales experience looking for an external role may be considered for the right person.
  • Experience in electrical motors, Gearbox, Pump or relevant mechanical engineering trades.
