We are looking to speak with ambitious, driven sales professionals who thrive on winning new business and building long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, self-motivated and confident, engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You'll enjoy developing new opportunities, solving customer challenges and working in a consultative sales environment where technical understanding and relationship building go hand in hand.

The Role

As a Key Account Sales Consultant, your primary focus will be on driving business growth within the machine and equipment manufacturing sector. Taking ownership of the full sales cycle, you will identify, develop and secure new strategic accounts, engaging directly with senior management, procurement professionals and engineers to understand their technical and commercial requirements.

Working in a consultative manner, you will develop tailored solutions that address customer needs while demonstrating the value of a market-leading automation portfolio. Your focus will be on generating new business opportunities, converting prospects into long-term customers and developing a strong pipeline within your territory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing strategic sales plans across your territory.
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities within target accounts.
  • Managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through to order placement.
  • Building relationships with engineering, procurement and senior leadership teams.
  • Delivering technical and commercial solutions that add value to customers.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales activity.
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven B2B sales experience within industrial automation, engineering, manufacturing or a related technical industry.
  • Experience developing new business and managing strategic customer accounts.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • A technical or engineering qualification would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, target-driven approach with a passion for developing new business.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory, with occasional international travel.
