- Softlines: Testing, inspection, and certification services for textiles, clothing, footwear, leather goods, and other consumer products.
- Hardlines: Safety and quality testing for household goods, toys, furniture, sports equipment, tools, and DIY products.
- Electrical: Testing and certification of electrical and electronic products, from household appliances to industrial control systems.
- Solar & Commercial: Quality assurance and certification of photovoltaic modules, inverters, and commercial technical installations.
- Medical: Comprehensive testing and certification for medical devices, from diagnostic equipment to implants.

Job Summary
TÜV Rheinland UK is looking for a Field Sales Executive to support the sales activities of our Medical Devices function. The role is responsible for generating order income and revenue from new large and medium-sized customers, primarily through customer visits and industry events. The successful candidate will be responsible for a defined region or area in line with the sales plan, with a strong focus on new customer acquisition and business development.

Job Description
- Meets and exceeds sales targets: generation of order income and revenue from new large and medium customers as defined in the sales plan.
- Develops and maintains a customer focus list (together with Area Sales Manager) by proposing prospective customers and new business opportunities based on marketing leads, own opportunities, market knowledge, etc.
- Identifies solutions for customer needs, if necessary with the involvement of Subject Matter Experts.
- Generates new leads (e.g. at fairs) and converts assigned sales leads generated by e.g. marketing or other channels.
- Executes customer visits and / or visits of industry events.
- Focuses on acquiring new customers.
- Documents all activities in the relevant TR IT tools (e.g. Salesforce.com).
- Responsible for the on-time delivery, quality, and follow-up of the quotation according to customer needs.
- Follows up on quotations with customers (can be delegated to sales support).
- Conducts the final negotiation of quotations and contracts with the customer in collaboration with relevant stakeholders / P&L responsible persons and in line with TR requirements.
- Contact for cross-BF (Business Function) / cross-BS (Business Stream) inquiries from other Sales colleagues.
- Monitors market and competitors.
- Conducts sales analytics in the area of responsibility.
- Participates in regular sales reviews with the disciplinary Supervisor.
- Supports the Area Sales Manager in defining the yearly sales plan.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Work Requirements
- User knowledge in MS Office, Salesforce.com.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, with experience in new customer acquisition.
- Consultative Sales: Pronounced technical comprehension in the field / related area.
- Pronounced ability for self-motivation.
- Ability to meet deadlines without supervision.
- Excellent selling and negotiation skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Energetic, proactive, and comfortable with customer-facing activities, including on-site customer meetings and travel.
- Independent, engaged, and solution-oriented, with the initiative to proactively identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Good knowledge in English
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Sales or related area.
- 5–10 years of professional experience in Sales or related area.
- Experience in Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC), Medical Devices, or a related field is welcome but not required. Strong B2B sales and new customer acquisition experience is more important.
