About the Role
For over 35 years, FSL have been designing and manufacturing wireless controls and custom electronic solutions from our base in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone. Our products help customers increase safety and efficiency within their operations across a wide range of industries. We are currently seeking a salesperson to join our team.
This position requires an enthusiastic individual who enjoys customer facing sales. Your job is to grow our business across the UK, finding new customers and building on existing key accounts. You will be required to promote and sell various products within our wireless remote control range, along with our custom electronic solutions. Our customers are primarily operating within the quarrying, construction, material handling, industrial lifting and warehousing industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target and win new customers across the UK, while growing the accounts you are given.
- Take a solution selling approach: get to the root of a customer's challenge and sell the outcome, not just the product.
- Carry out product demonstrations and site visits to move opportunities forward.
- Prepare quotations, manage your pipeline in the CRM and follow deals through to order.
- Build and work a clear sales plan for your territory, and hit your targets.
- Represent FSL at trade shows and exhibitions across the UK.
- Keep on top of market trends and competitor activity, and spot new sectors where our systems can win.
- Feed customer insight and product ideas back to the team to keep our products improving.
- Work with marketing to keep the website, social media and sales literature current.
- Keep the team updated with regular sales reports and forecasts, and work with production to satisfy customer requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
