The successful applicant will join a heritage brand that combines tradition, innovation, and high-quality timekeeping solutions across diverse price points.

Role Description

The Field Sales Manager will play a key leadership role in driving the growth and profitability of Seiko, Lorus, and Seiko Clocks across the UK Independent retail channel.

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, the role will lead, develop, and motivate the Territory Sales Managers, ensuring the team delivers against commercial targets while building strong, long-term relationships with key independent retail partners.

Working closely with Territory Sales Managers and priority customers, the Field Sales Manager will develop account strategies, improve sell-through, and maximize opportunities across Seiko, Lorus, and Seiko Clocks.

The role will also work closely with Marketing, Planning, and Finance to ensure customer needs, stock availability, commercial opportunities, credit lines, and brand priorities are aligned.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, motivate, and coach the Territory Sales Managers to achieve agreed sales, distribution, and profitability targets. Create a high-performance sales culture, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and coaching to ensure each member of the team reaches their full potential.
  • Take ownership of the Independent channel sales strategy, identifying opportunities to elevate Seiko, Lorus, & Seiko Clocks through existing customers, new premium business opportunities, improved distribution, and increased sell-out.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with priority Independent customers and work alongside Territory Sales Managers to develop strategic account plans.
  • Produce and analyze monthly Sell in and Sell Out information from priority/focus Independent accounts.
  • Conduct regular field visits with each Territory Sales Manager to understand their territory, support customer meetings, identify opportunities, and provide coaching and development.
  • Prepare and run quarterly sales meetings, ensuring the team has clear objectives, priorities, and actions.
  • Set quarterly financial targets for the sales team based on the Independent channel target provided by the Head of Sales.
  • Work closely with the Marketing, Finance, and Planning teams on stock forecasting, product availability, and credit facilities across the Independent channel.
  • Manage and review the Territory Sales Managers’ weekly itineraries and reports, ensuring activity is focused on the highest value commercial opportunities. Use reporting to measure activity, identify gaps, and ensure the team remains accountable for agreed priorities.
  • Provide regular and comprehensive feedback to the management team on customer activity, market trends, competitor activity, opportunities, and potential risks within the Independent sector.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
