About The Role
LOCATION: Astec Europe – Omagh
About The Position
Reporting to the Technical Support Leader, you will be working within a high energy and skilled team locally, backed by our North American team filled with a heritage of experience from the Astec brands. This exciting role will be based out of our Omagh site. The role will have a healthy amount of travel activities along with some factory-based activities. Travel activities will include set up, commissioning, training, and problem solving around our mobile crushing and screening machines. Factory-based activities will include supporting our new product development team, assisting with the development and delivery of product technical training, and assisting our customers with technical solutions to problems.
Deliverables & Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of mobile crushing & screening machinery.
- Deliver on-site training on the operation and maintenance of crushers and screens.
- Reporting issues and potential problems back to our engineering team to help drive product improvements and prevent future problems.
- Provide occasional technical support to customers worldwide.
- Support our technical team to find solutions to customer issues.
- Support our technical team to develop and deliver product training.
- Support the testing and validation of our new products.
- Assist our engineers to develop preventative maintenance programs.
- Assist our sales and marketing teams with digital media for our machines working.
- Assist our sales and marketing teams to set up our equipment at trade shows.
- Support all Health and Safety Policies and Regulations, always ensuring safe working practices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in an office environment and occasionally a manufacturing shop plant environment. Duties include a typical office setting including extensive computer work, sitting or standing. Manufacturing Environment
Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions, and exposure to the risk of electric shock. The employee may occasionally be exposed to varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, very warm and/or very chilly temperatures. The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required Criteria
- Experienced, proactive, and courageous attitude towards Safety.
- Broad working experience around the setup and repair of plant machinery.
- Excellent mechanical, electrical, & hydraulic skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attitude towards customer focus.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Be computer literate in the usual range of Microsoft products.
- Able to work effectively with a range of diversified cultures.
- Available and dedicated to travel regularly.
Desired Criteria
- Experience working around the Crushing and Screening industry.
- Experience around the applications of crushing, screening, and material processing.
- Recognised qualification relating to mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Manufacturing / fabrication skills & experience.
