Service Engineer

Industries

Specialise in Automated Storage Systems across a range of industries including Aerospace, Pharma, Logistics, and Manufacturing.

Looking for

Engineers who have an Electrical Qualification and ideally have experience in any of the following equipment: Automated Storage/Storage Systems, Carousels, Conveyors, Lifts, Hydraulics, PLCs, Motors, Bearings, Drives, Inventory Control, Material Handling Equipment.

Northern Ireland

Salary

Up to £40,000

Hours

8:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Friday)

No on-call rota + Christmas shut down

German Manufacturing direct training with the manufacturer on-site in Germany.

Training on automated systems, with incremental salary increases on completion of each training module of £1500 (£4,500 total).

About the Role

A leading provider of automated vertical storage and retrieval systems is seeking a technically skilled and self-motivated Service Engineer to join its Northern Ireland Field Service Team. Mainly covering the South of Northern Ireland (Newry, Markethill, Keady, My, Moygashel, Dungannon, Newtownhamilton, Ravensdale, etc) with occasional travel into Ireland. This role offers autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fault finding, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vertical lift and carousel systems
  • Respond to breakdowns and callouts, ensuring fast and effective resolution
  • Provide technical support and training to customers
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical fault finding ideally with similar equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Northern Ireland
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
