Field Service Engineer: Security Systems

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: Up to £45,000 negotiable depending on experience + generous benefits + vehicle

Location

  • Stoke-on-Trent / Midlands and North West

About the Role

Our client has been established for almost a decade and specialise in the provision of a range of solutions allied to the commercial security industry. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated Field Service Engineer: Security Systems to complement their professional team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and fault finding across a wide range of electronic security systems.
  • Work with clients located throughout Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, and surrounding areas.
  • Provide the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction.

  • CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems
  • Access Control
  • Intruder Alarms
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Automated Gates and Traffic Barriers
  • Intercom and Door Entry Systems
  • ANPR Systems
  • IP Networks and associated security infrastructure
  • Integrated Security Systems

Duties

  • Install new security systems and system upgrades.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair faults.
  • Commission new and existing systems including programming and configuring equipment.
  • Carry out system modifications and additions as required.
  • Test completed works and ensure systems are operating correctly.
  • Complete accurate job records and service documentation.
  • Identify additional faults, recommendations, or remedial works while on site.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and other contractors at all times.
  • Take responsibility for allocated jobs from arrival through to completion.
  • Ensure installations are completed neatly and to a high standard.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience within the electronic security industry.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • A flexible approach to working hours.
  • A methodical approach to fault find and repair.
  • Experience with Dahua, Honeywell, Paxton, SALTO, AXIS, and Hanwha systems is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • ECS / CSCS, IPAF, or PASMA qualifications.
  • Recognised Security industry, electrical, and Fire alarm qualifications.
