Field Service Engineer

Location: Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh
Pay: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, with on-call rota requirements
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

Staffline Recruitment Ireland is recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join their Service Division.

Our client is a market leader in the supply, installation and maintenance of specialist door and access solutions, including automatic doors, access control systems, hotel locking systems and related products. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service or Installation Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career with a well-established and highly regarded business.

This role will involve repairing, servicing and installing door automation and access control systems for clients across both the public and private sectors in Fermanagh and Omagh. The successful candidate will work on the road, attend client sites, support callouts when required and ensure all work is completed to a high professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Repairing, servicing and installing automatic door systems, access control systems and related equipment
  • Attending client sites across the public and private sector
  • Responding to callouts as required, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota
  • Diagnosing faults and recommending appropriate repairs, upgrades or further work
  • Communicating service requirements clearly to the office team
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally and to a high standard
  • Following all company procedures and health and safety requirements
  • Wearing company uniform and PPE at all times
  • Representing the company professionally when dealing with clients and site contacts
  • Taking a flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements

Essential Criteria

Applicants should have:

  • Minimum of 2 years' previous experience as a Service Engineer, Installation Engineer or similar
  • Working knowledge of automatic door systems, access control products or similar technical systems
  • Ability to repair, service and install equipment to a high standard
  • Basic understanding of access control equipment
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer service
  • Basic IT skills
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel and support callout requirements when needed

Applications will also be considered from candidates with relevant transferable experience, including time-served Electricians, Security Installation Engineers, Lift Engineers or similar technical backgrounds. Full training will be provided on relevant systems.

Desirable Criteria

  • Current and relevant CSR Card
  • Current and relevant ADSA Card
  • Previous experience working with a range of automatic door or access control manufacturers
