Field Service Engineer – CHP / Power Generation

Already working on generators, CHP systems, diesel engines, heavy plant, HGVs, marine engines or industrial equipment and looking for your next challenge?

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's leading specialists in CHP, gas engine power generation and distributed energy solutions.

Working as part of a regional service team, you'll support critical energy infrastructure across industrial, commercial and energy-sector sites throughout London and the South East. You'll maintain and troubleshoot advanced gas engine and CHP installations that help customers reduce energy costs, improve energy resilience and support their sustainability goals.

This is a home-based field service role offering technical variety, specialist training and the opportunity to build expertise in a growing and resilient engineering sector.

Territory & Travel

This is a regional field service role covering customer sites across London and the South East. Most activities are planned within your designated region, although occasional travel further afield may be required to support operational requirements.

The Role

  • Planned preventative maintenance of CHP and power generation equipment
  • Mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Breakdown response and reactive maintenance
  • On-site and remote diagnostics
  • Service reporting and maintenance documentation
  • Building strong customer relationships and delivering excellent service
  • Participation in an on-call rota

About You

You'll have a mechanical and/or electrical engineering background together with strong fault-finding skills and experience maintaining engines, generators or complex industrial equipment.

Suitable backgrounds include:

  • CHP

  • HGV
  • Marine Engineering
  • Industrial Maintenance

A full UK driving licence is required.
